In partnership with Squiggle Consult who are Estate Planning Specialists, we are co-hosting two Free Webinars specifically tailored to those within the Health and Care Sectors (26th January) and the wider public (22nd February) to help answer some of those questions that may have been in your mind about writing a will:
- What are the things I should consider?
- What about my business? How can I create a provision for it after I am gone?
- How can I choose who to trust to carry out my instructions?
- Can I leave a gift to a charity or friends I love?
- How can I ensure my children are looked after, and what happens if I don’t?
- How much will it cost?
The free webinar will help dispel any worries that you may have about any or all of the burning questions about writing a will and planning for a future where you are no longer around.
Delivered within an hour, this free webinar will be presented by an Estate Planning Expert at Squiggle, Jodie, and be an informative yet informal session designed to give you knowledge and the next steps.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
Making your will is one of those tasks that is constantly on the back burner, something that needs doing, but then life and living get in the way!
A study carried out in 2023* indicated that 42% of those over 55 don’t have a will, and the scary fact is that if you die without having made a will, you potentially risk your partner, children or grandchildren not having the provisions for their future you may want them to have. If you are one of the 2 out of 3 people in the UK who do have a will already it’s worrying to learn that 1.5 million people have not updated their will since getting married, making it invalid, and 20% of people admit to `will blunders` such as still including an ex-partner.
As a charity, we, The Care Workers` Charity rely solely on donations and, considering leaving a gift or a legacy within your will to the charity could be a lovely way of showing your support to the people that may have been integral to you during your life. Clearly, there is a lot to consider on this topic and having an adviser who can professionally guide you is crucial.
FREE OFFER
All those attending the webinar on either day will be given the opportunity to work with Squiggle Consult to write a basic will; details of this offer will be given during the webinar.
