Going the Extra Mile

Going the Extra Mile is back again to celebrate the fantastic work that happens everyday in social care. People working in social care can do something special that makes the day of the person or people they are supporting.

Going the extra mile by making sure someone is able to go on a trip they have always dreamed of, or more simply playing a song that helps them remember a happy memory.

This Spring, between the 18th – 22nd July, we are asking you to get together with your colleagues, friends and families and Go the Extra Mile for care workers.

You might a keen runner so you could raise money for the CWC by running an extra mile on your route, or 5 more miles?

If you’re working in a residential care setting you could bring together residents, care teams and their friends and families to hold a Sports Day.

There is no limit to how you can Go the Extra Mile.
