Funding
As a charity we are completely dependent on the generosity of others both for grant giving and for running the charity. We value each donation whether big or small as anything makes a difference. In the spirit of transparency, we would like to share how we are currently funded.
Partnerships & Corporate Sponsorship
The CWC has partnered with a number of care providers who support us in ensuring no care worker faces hardship alone. These partnerships allow us to offer grants to care workers who are in crisis.
Our Crisis Grants are one-off payments to support someone experiencing an unforeseen or life changing circumstance, such as bereavement, illness or injury and who has no resources to meet associated costs which could include funeral expenses, moving home, travel to hospital expenses, home repairs.

Trusts & Foundations
We have received many generous donations from Trusts & Foundations, particularly through 2020 for our Covid-19 Emergency fund and for the launch of our Mental Health Grants. The support offered to us has been essential in our ability to offer more grants to care workers in need.
Thanks to their generosity, we were able to increase our initial Covid-19 Emergency Fund offering to include other care staff and many different scenarios born from the consequences of Covid-19.

Corporate & Individual Fundraising
Corporate and Individual Fundraising come from the public or other companies who do charitable activities and donate the proceeds to us. Their generosity is paramount to our success in awarding as many grants as possible to care workers.
The support this year, in particular for our Covid-19 Emergency Fund, has been overwhelming and very much appreciated as it has allowed us to broaden our offering and continue to give grants to those in need.

Donations
Donations from the public have been invaluable to us. They have enabled us to help so many care workers both in our Crisis Grants and Covid-19 Emergency Fund and we have already had some wonderful support for our Mental Health Support Programme.
We have previously accepted donations via our website on a one-off or monthly basis and via Just Giving, Virgin Money Giving and now predominantly via Enthuse.
