This spring, 6 staff members from Abbotswood Court Care home in Romsey, Hampshire will take to the skies with a 10,000 ft charity skydive. The brave and caring team are hoping to raise as much as possible for the Care Workers Charity.
The close and dedicated team of staff members from Abbotswood Court, which consists of Care Assistants, Activity Coordinator and even the Chef want to show their support for fellow carers whom might be facing difficult times especially having been through the recent pandemic which has been extremely challenging.
When speaking about the proposed jump, Oliver Wilkie, Head Chef at Abbotswood Court commented that ‘’as well as raising money we will further cement our relationship as a team and support each other to achieve this challenge’’.
The residents will also be involved in the experience by the attendance of a guest speaker who will visit and host an afternoon talk on skydiving, made immersive with videos and slides, to help them understand more about the challenge. Some residents will be taken to the jump site to witness their carers in action.
